I bought these to practice self defense with a few friends on the tennis courts of my apartment. I was not expecting such high quality mats for the price. these are very thick and shock absorbent. the only time I felt the concrete thought them was landing hard after being thrown by one of my friends. I would have been in traction for weeks if not for these mats! Although they don’t say it in the description, I believe these would be acceptable for Judo and Aikido. I use them for Hapkido and Krav Maga and some of the moves are very similar to those,(as mentioned before). Over all a must have for any type of martial arts or gymnastics training.

I covered a concrete floor with these tiles. They feel so good under the knees I may opt for ladies push ups.
Don’t hope for a seamless look because the striping pattern is not in sync with the cut of the tiles. And prepared to keep it clean with a grit catcher on entry because you can pierce it easily.
It’s relatively easy to cut to fit with the help of a heavy straight edge. Because it is so thick I made one pass with my utility knife and a second with the cut held open. You want a thin blade.
People who have seen it so far have complemented it though we didn’t show it to them — they were on the way to other rooms.

Very nice mats. They are not rough on feet or hands and stand up to heavy weights being placed on them. I had a water problem where I placed them and they did not absorb any water..just wiped them off. Great product!

I recently moved and converted a spare bedroom into a home gym. I had a difficult time trying to decide on the appropriate depth(1″ 7/8″ or 3/4″)
I settled on the 3/4″ and was glad I did. The bedroom was carpeted prior and after everything was removed and the mats were down it was at a perfect height to meet the hardwoods in the hallway and still had enough clearance for the door.
You will need to take into consideration the borders on these tiles. They are about an inch on either side.
