These are amazing shoes! I have purchased about three pairs of Brooks shoes and this is my fourth pair. Three of them were Ariel and one pair was a man’s shoe called “Adrenaline”. I overpronate and it was suggested that I wear these and they were right. The arch support is amazing. There is so much support in this shoe. No, I don’t run. I just wear them for casual and shopping, etc. You will absolutely love this shoe.

Okay so I bought these shoes after all the great reviews I have read and it’s true, they are very stable. I didn’t slip around at all – I especially liked how the laces did not feel boa-constrictor-ish and hugged my feet. Anyway, I wore them for 3 mile run and they were okay – somewhat similar to running in cement shoes but nothing I couldn’t eventually adjust to. Then I wore them on a 12 mile run and at about mile 5… the soles of my feet started to hurt, then my right ankle started to hurt (maybe due to too much stability?), then my left knee, then my left hip. When I took the shoes off the soles of my feet were sore for a couple of days and now (1.5 weeks later), I am still having some knee pain. Needless to say, I went back to my previous shoes (Nike Nuclues) which have LOTS of cushioning. So, if you are in flat-footed 160 lb+ category, these shoes might not be for you.

This was my second purchase of a pair of Brooks Ariel Running Shoes. I am not a runner anymore, but use the shoes for walking and everyday wear. I have flat feet and plantar fascitis and can’t wear orthodics, but with this shoe I don’t need them and find my feet are the most comfortable they’ve been in years. The shoes run true to size and have roam for cushioned socks if needed. I plan to buy this shoe again when these wear out.

I am in love with this shoe. I suffer from severly fallen arches and this shoe is amazing. The stability of this shoe is outstanding my feet stay supported and do not slide around in the shoe. This shoe has allowed me to go back to aerobics which I have missed because of my bad feet. If you suffer from flat feet this is the shoe for you.

These shoes are ones I’ve been wearing for five years – every day, without fail – so the style is tried and true. The price at the store where I usually go was $40 more than what I got them for from Amazon. I was thrilled to find them on line, especially since I’d pretty much decided that I could no longer afford them.
So, thanks for your availability of such a top line product! I have terrible feet, and just thinking of having to “shop” to find something comparable at a price I could afford wore me out!!
