I bought these plus the Elite from 2XU to see which worked best. I train for / run marathons. On a shorter run (16 km) I found that the compression was not nearly as uniform as the compression from the 2XU and also found that the CW-X was tending to restrict movement of the knee (I use ChiRunning technique for running). It was not allowing the free swing of the lower leg when the foot is coming up on the forward return. I also took the CW-X Stabilyx out for a long run (40 km) and about halfway through found that my legs were going into fatigue. I haverun a 50 km ultramarathon in 2XU and did not find similar fatigue. I also found that the CW-X tended to retain too much heat in the leg. 2XU vents heat quite well. Same overall comments apply to the compression shorts (CW-X not as good as 2XU). Pay the extra $ and go with 2XU.

These pants are great I am 6′ tall 215 LBS and the XL fits great. They are very suportive in the calfs, quads and lower back. They last a long time, the only draw back is that if you don’t hang dry them and use the dryer they will not last. I had a pair last almost two years useing them a few times a week and always hung them to dry after washing. I tried drying a pair and they only lasted a few months. Take care of them they will take care of you. BEST PANTS FOR THE MONEY!!!

I was looking for warm weather running gear, but dubious to the idea that the pants actually reduce the muscle effort while running. Trying is believing!
