Created for runners who find most vests uncomfortable or performance debilitating, the Nathan Streak reflective vest is ultra lightweight and incredibly comfortable. The vest is made of a soft, lightweight, breathable mesh that’s designed to allow a full range of motion and is guaranteed not to ride up. It’s almost like wearing nothing at all. At the same time, the 400-candlepower vest offers 360-degree visibility at distances of up to 1,200 feet, so drivers, cyclists, and other runners can see you clearly after the sun sets. The adjustable-fit vest also includes large reflective patches on the chest and waist and reflective strips on the shoulders.

I purchased three of these for me and my friends to go running at night. It only fit when we ran in the winter with coats on. When I attempted to wear it in the summer over just a t-shirt, the “adjustability” feature on it really came up short. If I cinched the sides down enough to hug me so that it wasn’t flopping around, then the extra flaps of velcro were banging along. If I fixed it so that the velcro wasn’t driving me crazy, then it was so loose that it would literally spin halfway around me with every step. After only a few months of use (and I’m NOT hard on stuff like this), the piping around the edges began to pull away. The seams are tiny and grabbing onto mesh, so it isn’t surprising…just annoying. I finally bit the bullet and went to my local running store and bought an amphipod brand xinglet, and am MUCH happier. Totally adjustable, very durable and about the same cost as this Nathan vest.

This was a nice attempt at safety with design but it’s too small. I was hoping the bottom would reach down to my waist but the large/Xtra large didn’t reach halfway there. So this one went back.
The Amphipod Xinglet is more what I had in mind.

Nathan Streak Reflective VestI recently bought this product thinking it was a nice looking design and well made but when I received the product it was cheaply made very thin. When I put it on it comes halfway down to my chest. Probably a child of 7 yrs. maybe able to wear this. The material is so thin that when you wear it it tends to roll up as you move. It was a waste of my money and will end up throwing it away because it’s worthless.

I just got done using one of these vests for a Ragnar Relay race. 195 miles, 12 people, and running through the night. I used it mainly for my second run, which was 8.5 mi at midnight on a country two lane highway. I felt very visible in the vest, and the fit was excellent. Especially if you are a guy who prefers not to run with a shirt on, the fit is perfect for avoiding chafing…if you know what I mean.
I would recommend this vest to anyone.

This product may work if you are a (Male) medium or small. Does not fit for anyone larger than that. My solution: I went to a Hiway safety shop and bought a proper sized vest for $16.00. Can not recommend this product.
