Patagonia Footwear Men’s Honeydew Shoe
Product Description
Most casual shoes are often too bulky or cumbersome for compact travel, but Patagonia’s Men’s Honeydew Shoe has an enlarged toe box and ample last for extra comfort on long days. Patagonia created a honeycombed all-natural latex outsole that offers the structural rigidity and support essential for walking shoes. A special hand-sewn side-stitch construction minimizes the use of industrial water based solvents while keeping the Honeydew exceptionally durable. If you’re looking for a packable shoe that you can wear all day, the Honeydew is a comfortable, earth-friendly choice. If you’re looking for a similar packable design with more ankle support, check out Patagonia’s Dogwood shoe..Amazon.com Product Description

I bought a pair of honedews a couple of years ago and have worn them constantly. So I shouldn’t be surprised that (as I was preparing to pack them up for a trip, an easy thing to do with these light unobtrusive shoes)I found a hole in the — as it turns out — thin rubber outer sole of one of the shoes. This outer sole turns out to be a thin layer over something thicker and of another material. So: comfort, convenience of the slip on while the elastic laces actually keep it in place, light weight–but a lower mark for durability.
