Product Description
It takes a village to deplete an entire bucket of chalk. Ideal for community bouldering sessions, this bag naturally sits upright on the ground.Amazon.com Product Description
Working in collaboration with John Friend–founder of Anusara Yoga–prAna created the Revolution natural sticky mat, an innovative step forward in the evolution of yoga mats. Offering a dual cotton scrim construction, the mat works to limit stretching in all three directions, creating a strong, stable practice surface that won’t bunch underfoot. In addition, the 30-inch mat is significantly wider than standard mats, giving you more space to spread your hands and feet. Finally, the mat’s three biodegradable rubber layers are heat laminated without glue, making it sturdy and eco-friendly. The Revolution–a great choice for yoga students looking for improved support and better alignment–measures 30 by 78 inches (W x L) and 4mm thick.

About prAna
Nature has guided prAna since the very start, with its abundance of color, materials and energy along with endless inspiration to make products that can be well worn and, more importantly, well lived in. Whether in sports, travels or yoga practice, the adventure has never failed to make many wonderful friends and memories. prAna is always looking for new ways to fold sustainable materials and practices into their collection, working to reduce the impact on soils, water supplies, and other natural resources.
PrAna’s commitment to the environment begins at home and extends outward to their retailers and the homes of thei employees. As part of their Natural Power Initiative (NPI), prAna works with their partner 3Degrees to support new U.S.-based wind energy projects through the purchase of renewable energy certificates (REC’s). In 2009, the impact of the NPI program will prevent over 12,000 tons of carbon dioxide from entering the earth’s atmosphere. Simply by supporting renewable energy for prAna’s headquarters, all of the company’s employee’s homes, two prAna retail locations, and 250 of their U.S. retailers, the NPI program will create an environmental benefit equivalent to removing over 2,300 cars from the road annually.
prAna supports a number of organizations who share their values. As a member of the Organic Trade Association and the Organic Exchange, prAna is continually increasing the use of organic cotton, as well as sourcing other natural fibers and innovative recycled/upcycled materials. The Access Fund helps to keep climbing areas open while the Conservation Alliance protects wild and natural areas. HERA supports local ovarian cancer groups and the Outdoor Foundation helps to get kids active in the outdoors.

Smaller people beware. This mat is huge and it’s very heavy for a yoga mat. I never opened it because I knew I would be miserable trying to heft it between home and class, so I don’t know whether it is as great as all the reviews have said. Also the mat is so huge that I would never want to take this to a yoga class and take up extra valuable space.

This mat didn’t work out for me.
Pros:
-The 30″ width really is great for some poses (I’m 6′ 5″ with fairly broad shoulders)
-The materials are biodegradable.
Cons:
-It’s the smelliest mat I’ve owned out of the package. I didn’t keep it long enough to find out how well it dissipates.
-I found the mat to be too grippy when dry and too slippery when wet
-At my height, I don’t like giving up the 85″ length of my other mat
-Too thin and hard for my 230lb body.
-A large (maybe 3″ X 4″) label stitched into the middle of the mat. I found this to be obnoxious but I’m pretty anti-conspicuous label. What’s next, Ed Hardy yoga mats?

I have to agree with a previous reviewer, who mentioned lots of slippin’ and slidin’ on this mat – I’ve had the same experience once warmed up and perspiring.
And for this reason, I would not recommend it – especially for the price paid.

This mat is wide and long relative to other mats I own.
Since I received it (three weeks ago) I’m practicing on it and the rubber odder is still very strong.
One more flaw is the heavy weight. I find it difficult to handle and move it around.
