It seems that I have chosen Saucony shorts for the past 20 years or so. This one is the best so far. Very light-weight, fast-drying, comfortable but with excellent support for men. The band is flat, not too tight but with enough elastic that I do not need the drawstring for running. But the drawstring works well. The shorts are so comfortable that when I switched from running to swimming this summer I continued to use these shorts. For swimming, I need to tie the drawstring tightly to avoid drag doing laps. It has worked as well for swimming (2000 km daily) as for running. I rinse the short after each swim and dry it using the hand blower. The cut is generous, so if you are a true ‘medium’ then do not order ‘large’. The only negative is the key/card ‘pocket’ (inside). This is wide and shallow rather than narrow and deep. It is OK for a card but I had to wrap my house key in a tissue before putting in. (The product description for my purchase claimed a velcro outside pocket, but there are no true pockets on this short.) I now have a Hind shirt with a zippered pocket, so this does not affect me, and the lack of zippers, velcro, etc insures comfort. This short is made in the Philippines and the quality is exceptional.
