I bought this sword pretty much to focus and blast my chi forth. Yup, great sword! First I practiced about 3 hours of super energy focused Qi Gong at my office deskinstead of working because it wastes time. Anyway, I then took up the sword and focused all my charged up super chi onto the blade. Well, as all of you know, you have to blast out your chi into space or wherever at this point or risk blowing up. So I let out a sonic yell and the sword was pointed in the direction of my boss’s office and the power released. The wall of my office blew apart and outward, the cubicles outside fell like dominos knocking people over in their chairs as the Chi rolled over the blade and rushed towards my boss’s closed office where she hides reading computer usage lists all day long. Anyway, the chi now fire ball like, charged through the door rendering it splintered wood. I heard shortly after a muffled scream as the chi blasted my boss to pieces and destroyed her office simultaniously. So as you can see for yourselves, my friends, you want to buy this sword as it is very practical for Chi focusing and release.

The photographs were misleading. The wooden tai chi swords that I got were not like the photo. Not including the tassle, the balance point is 12 inches from the butt (I would have preferred it to be closer to the handle, maybe about 8 inches from the butt), but because it is so light (4.6 oz) it really did not matter. The sword looks like it was made of bamboo wood. Because it was so inexpensive, I did not bother to complain or try to return it.
If you are going to use this for tai chi, you should ask your instructor. My instructor did not like this sword.

Absolutely awful piece of garbage! Worth about .25 cents! Unfortunately the only place I’ve found to buy a decent t’ai chi sword is at [..] She makes handmade swords for [...]. This sword here has a “blade” so thin you could break it simply by shaking it.
